  my husband and i had a committee meeting because of underage drinking.

  when he was being counseled, the p.o.

  told my husband that he needed to make me wear different clothes to the meeting because it made some of the brothers unable to concentrate.

  The Internet and Apostasy

  has the internet and forums like these caused an exodus from the j-dubs?

  when i left in the early 1990s i met support groups through the yellow pages but it still felt like i was the only one in the world who was an apostate.

  i've come to this forum in the last year to browse because my brother has now left.

  The Watchtower's hypocritical denunciations hurled against'apostate Christendom'.They had the gall to apply this 'profitcy':to opposers who knew from the get-go that the russelites were a spin off of the william miller movement ca.1840 aka "mutated millerites"[ In 33 years of door to door I actually had numerous householders tell me about the 'millerite connection',and of course I was blinded to the reality]

  Again, a statement so at odds with the JW experience Real people,real sorrow,real watchtower family wrecking! I wasn't told even what year my beloved mother died!

  Now,you tell me what other religion that does this,think long and hard about this question?Would the Taliban,the Neo-Nazi's or even Charles Manson deny one of it's subjects/members the right to know WHAT YEAR their mother died !! Think!

  I want to hide a time-capsule in my new house...

  they just broke ground on the lot where my new house is being built.

  i noticed on the floor plan that there are empty voids behind a few walls and before they finish building the walls i want to put together a time capsule that i can hide in one of those voids.. if you could put together a time capsule, what you put in it?.

  I worked 20+ years in reinforced concrete.I have built military bunkers,tunnels,the seabrook N.H..usa nuclear plant.

  Build it out of concrete,it may outlast the pyramids.
